Çukurova Textile And Ready Wear fair Is Now Open
05.03.2020The one and only textile and ready wear fair in Adana Region, TÜYAP Adana Çukurova Textile and Ready Wear Fair is now open for visitors. The most significant regional event will be held at TÜYAP Adana Fair and Congress Center. This year the fair will be hosting 250 commercial buyers from 22 different countries who will be contacting local colleagues during the 4 days the fair will be open.TÜYAP Adana Çukurova Textile and Ready Wear Fair is now open for the first time. Numerical data on textile industryclearly demonstrates that the role of Adana and Çukurova region bears great potential and that the textiles industry is one of the driving forces behind Adana's economic potential. Textile and ready wear sector in Turkey held 3 percent share among the country's entire exports in the last decade. There are more than 35.000 companies employing a workforce of nearly 1.002.069 people. Textiles exports averages around 17 billion US Dollars; the sector closed 2018 with 17,4 billion US Dollars. Çukurova Region holds a significant place in supplying the demand for textiles domestically and internationally. In an attempt to further improve this potential, the industry representativeswill be displaying their latest creations. New trends and designs will be on display during the fair and purchasing managers from around Turkey and the World will be in attendance to see them. With this fair, TÜYAP Adana Team is striving to contribute the region's economy by bringing together the producers and the buyers from the largest textile companies.
Textiles industry holds the title for top export sector!
Based on data provided by the Turkish Exporters Assembly, textiles and textile raw materials hold the top exporting sector title while ready wear garments sector stands 5th in the same ranking list. Already a driving force for the region's economy, this fair is expected to move the Textile and Ready Wear sector another step forward by bringing together professionals from different levels of the industry.
According to the Ministry of Trade and Industry data, the textile sector in Adana holds a 3,6% share in Turkey's entire manufacturing sector, while ready made clothing industry holds 1,2%. In 2018 Adana's textile exports brought in 346 thousanddollars to the region.This was a significant 17,22% increase from the previous year's 305 thousand US Dollars in 2017.
Ready made clothing producers will exhibittheir 2020 spring-summer collections which includes sleepwear, underwear and lingerie, denim, textile machinery as well as fabrics, all under one roof.
Purchasing groups from 22 countries
A group of 250 commercial purchasing managers from 22 countries that includes Germany, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, Holland, Jordan, Oman will be attending the fair. Companies will hold B2B meetings with representatives from companies they wish to establish business contacts.
