Literature Calls from Istanbul
The 28th Book Fair Wellcomes you in a New Hall

Dear Participants,

The 28th Istanbul Book Fair has a theme of “Translation in Intercultural Dialogue” and will inaugurate an international hall where all international participants will be together to support the development of the Turkish publishing sector, and promote Turkish literature across the world.

In accordance with the needs of our participants, the international hall (Hall 5) will be opened simultaneously with the Book Fair, on October 31st, and remain open until the end of November 3rd, lasting shorter than the 9-day fair.

The International Hall will host publishers, copyright and writers' agencies, cultural centers and national stands representing foreign publishers, as well as a translation center for events that will be held in line with the theme of the fair, and a forum where interviews with foreign writers and industry meetings will be held.

The fair is attended by approximately 550 publishers and nongovernmental organizations and more than 30 foreign participants, and is visited by more than 300,000 visitors.  Organizing Turkey’s first and largest book fair with the cooperation of the Turkish Publishers Association, TÜYAP will be honored by your presence in Istanbul, where European, Asian and Middle Eastern literature lives and breathes.
