“The Industry Penetrates into New Markets from the Center of Packaging in Eurasia”

EURASIA PACKAGING 2012 İSTANBUL, 18th International Packaging Industry Fair will be organized by TÜYAP Fairs, Inc.,in coorperation with ASD Packaging Manufacturers Association and with support of AMD Packaging Machinery Association, ESD Label Manufacturers Association, KASAD Carton Packaging Association, MASD Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association, OMÜD Corrugated Cardboard Manufacturers Association, SEPA Rigid Plastic Packaging Manufacturers Association between the dates of September, 20 - 23 2012 at TÜYAP Fairs, Convention and Congress Center - Büyükçekmece, İstanbul, Turkey.

Eurasia Packaging  İstanbul Fair being the biggest, most comprehensive and effective fair of the Eurasian region has proven itself among the five most important fairs in Europe. The fair is the biggest annual packaging fair in Europe and an active member of UFI- Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and COPE- Confederation of Organisers of Packaging Exhibitions.

1031 companies and company representatives from 33 countries which spread to America, Europe and Asia have participated at 2011 Fair. A total of 40.753 professionals  - 4.761 from 81 countries and 35.992 from 78 cities in Turkey - have visited the fair.

2011 Fair hosted domestic visitors from 78 cities; 63% of domestic visitors were from İstanbul, 37% were from other cities. Tüyap organized local purchising delegations from Ankara, Balıkesir, Bursa, Çanakkale, Eskişehir, İzmir, Konya ,Manisa cities to visit the fair.

2011 Fair has been visited 4761 international visitors which are %39 of from Turkey’s 6 neighbouring countries, 24% of from Middle East countries and %37 of from East Europe and Balkans. When compared with 2010 year, the number of foreign visitors increased by 16%, diversity of the visitor profile in terms of home countries increased by 17%. In addition to individual visitors, international purchising delegations are organized from Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Egypt, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldovo, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan, TRNC, Tunusia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.

As in the previous years, Eurasia Packaging 2012 İstanbul Fair aims to meet the true needs and expectations of the packaging industry. Tuyap has been keeping abreast of the developments in the industry to prepare a platform for the leading companies of the industry with small and medium enterprises which are demanding to expand their business to global markets and create a brand. It is also accurate to claim that the visitors will come together with the latest products and innovations.
